MVP is dedicated to bringing quality tennis play and instruction year round, Sunday – Saturday 7:00am - 9:30pm.

MVP offers, USPTA Certified Professional offers year-round private and group lessons, Fall and Spring Junior tennis clinics, as well as women's team tennis. Summer offers 10 weeks of tennis camps coordinated wth our acclaimed MVP swim team. Special events, birthdays and celebrations, seasonal social activities and inter-club competitions round out a great tennis program.

If you're new to tennis, old to tennis or just want a good workout, our 4 courts are available all year round. Bring your racket and tennis balls or contact our Tennis Pro Scott for loaner rackets and balls to get you started. Ball-machines are available free of charge for members.

Har-Tru Clay Courts!

We are pleased to offer upper courts with Har-Tru,  a clay-type material that is commonly used for courts in the eastern United States.

Why Are We Excited About the Har-Tru Surface for the Upper Courts?
Playability: The significant advantage a clay court has over a traditional hard court is playability. Clay courts provide a more physically forgiving and tactical alternative to hard courts. The softer, sliding nature of the clay protects the body from injury and the bounce allows for longer points and longer matches, helping players to develop their strength, fitness, and endurance. Our tennis professional, Scott Borowiak, believes that clay courts are well suited for young players to develop their tennis skills.

Differentiation: Clay courts are highly desirable by tennis players the world over. On the West Coast, there are very few competitive clay courts, and there are no other clubs in the immediate area that have clay courts. This significantly differentiates our tennis program and club in the East Bay.

Members who wish to use the clay courts should contact Tennis Director Scott Borowiak ( for a 20 minutes orientation. This includes required court maintenance and information for the online tennis reservation system. After the orientation, a separate key for the clay courts will be issued to you.
